The City of Bessemer is hiring summer workers for the summer of 2025. Responsibilities will include patching roads, mowing, cleaning up town, and assisting the Department of Public Works. Start and end dates are flexible. There are two (2) positions available for 40 hours a week for 90 days at $15-$17/hr. depending on previous experience and one (1) position available for 40 hours per week for 120 days at $15-$17/hr. depending on previous experience.
Requirements to apply:
- Must be 16 years or older and have valid driver’s license
- Must be capable of physical labor and be able to lift up to 35 lbs
