The City of Bessemer will conduct a public hearing on Monday, September 8th, 2025, at 6:00 PM at Bessemer City Hall in the Council Chamber, for the purpose of affording citizens an opportunity to examine and submit comments on the proposed application for a MI Neighborhood CDBG grant.
The City of Bessemer proposes to request CDBG grant funds in the amount of $160,000 to fund homeowner rehabilitation of existing housing to preserve the affordable housing stock in the community. All funds requested will be used for the rehabilitation of existing homes with the City of Bessemer. All activities, upon completion, will benefit low- to moderate- income households. No persons will be displaced as a result of the proposed activities.
